J. A. Haigh
Atmospheric
Horror and SFF
Eerie spaces, resilient souls, fragile magic and the lingering dark...

J.A. Haigh is an author of atmospheric horror and weird SFF.

Her work is described as lyrical and folkloric, often exploring themes of belonging, grief, and resilience, with an Australian gothic edge.

In the pages of her books, there is often a brittle main character with the world on their shoulders, and a strange fire burning within. Or a fractured outsider who can't catch a break but doesn't have the luxury of giving up.

J.A. likes plants and the inherent weirdness of nature, the wonder of this crazy planet, the possibility of magic bubbling away beneath the fragile surface of things. The depths we don't yet know.

She writes short stories and novels for both young adult and adult markets. You can check out a few publications on her writing page.

J.A. Haigh is represented by Chelsea Hensley of Madwoman Literary Agency.
